At first, they were wary of the bees. Not anymore. Now the Kimu Village beekeeping group has 10 active hives and is growing.
The group is part of Pact’s USAID-funded Fisheries Integration of Society and Habitats, or FISH, project. And they’re a microcosm of the ecosystems approach the FISH project is using to build resilience to climate change, increase economic development and address biodiversity in Malawi.
